TELECOMNEXT: Telco Systems beefs up on Gigabit
more on the topic
Telco Systems today at TelecomNext introduced the second in its series of multiservice metro Ethernet access platforms. The T-Metro 200, an expansion of the T-Metro line, includes two additional Gigabit uplinks to allow for greater bandwidth prioritization and higher network availability. It also blends together MPLS and Hierarchical Virtual Private LAN Services (HVPLS) with Circuit Emulation Services.
“This adds a whole other level of service to the platform,” said David Lee, vice president of marketing for Telco Systems.
In the customer premises, the platform allows for hierarchical QoS, which lets users prioritize existing bandwidth for varying service classes, such as video, voice, business applications and e-mail/web-browsing. Additionally, it allows carriers to create tens of thousands of independent queues for each service.
