NEW YORK (July 17, 2006) – Telephony, a Prism Business Media publication for telecom service providers, and pulvermedia today announced plans to produce an IPTV pre-conference workshop in conjunction with the upcoming 2006 Fall VON event. Telephony’s IPTV Workshop, which will focus on deployments, content and carrier strategies, will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on Monday, September 11, 2006, one day prior to the opening of VON exhibits.
“IPTV is an increasingly critical part of the competitive strategies of telecom service providers and promises to change the way consumers interact with video,” said Jason Meyers, director of content development for Telephony. “Our event will provide a clearer picture of how IPTV will shape the future of telecom for service providers, as well as technology and content developers.”
Spearheaded by Telephony’s award-winning editorial team, this IPTV pre-conference will feature keynote speakers and panelists with real-world IPTV experience and will highlight successful domestic and international IPTV strategies. Through interactive sessions, Telephony’s IPTV Workshop will analyze and discuss critical network architectures, content plays, selling features and deployment tactics for service providers seeking to make IPTV an integral part of their service strategies. Related VON speaking sessions, networking opportunities and exhibits will complement the IPTV Workshop sessions and enable participants to further leverage their attendance.
“We're glad to have Telephony bring its keen IPTV knowledge base into the overall VON experience,” said Jeff Pulver, chairman and founder of pulver.com. “This workshop will provide an opportunity for attendees to get top-notch technical and market-based information while making the invaluable industry contacts critical to implementing innovative IPTV solutions."
Telephony is currently seeking additional speakers able to add insight about real-world IPTV deployment to panel sessions and debate the IPTV future. If you are interested in participating, please contact Telephony's Jason Meyers at jmeyers@telephonyonline.com.
