BT has made several new management appointments following last week’s reorganization of the company into two new business units and the naming of Andy Green as BT’s CEO of Group Strategy and Operations.
The newly-named executives will support Green as the company focuses on a structure guided by the two new units--BT Design and BT Operate. These new units bring together BT’s design, operations, IT and networks people into a single reporting structure that will design and operate services for customers of BT Retail, BT Global Services, BT Wholesale, Openreach and the wider communications industry, according to a statement from BT.
This week’s executive appointments include the naming of Al-Noor Ramji as CEO of BT Design, and Roel Louwhoff as CEO of BT Operate. Ramji, currently CEO of BT Exact, the company’s IT division, will be responsible for the design and development of software-driven products and services. He will continue to server as BT’s CIO.
Louwhoff, currently president of customer service and network operations at BT Global Services, will be in charge of deploying, testing and operating the new software services on BT’s Global 21CN platform.
Among other moves, Matt Bross, BT Group Chief Technology Officer, is joining Green’s leadership team, with responsibility for strategic innovation and vision across the company, the statement said. Also, Olivia Garfield becomes BT Group Strategy and Portfolio Director, moving from her current job managing customer services at BT Global Services; and Dina Matta has been appointed BT Group Transformation Director, moving from her role as director of strategy for BT Exact.
