NextLink taps Ceragon for broadband wireless
more on the topic
Ceragon Networks scored a massive win for its wireless point-to-point solution this week, announcing that NextLink, XO Communications’ broadband wireless division, is deploying its FibeAir high-capacity links in 75 U.S. markets.
Ceragon has built much of its business in the backhaul markets and through linking campuses with its high-capacity Ethernet bridges. But the NextLink deployment not only targets multiple markets, but uses the FiberAir solution as a direct access solution for government and business customers as well as a backhaul option for other communications providers.
NextLink will deploy FibeAir over its 28 GHz to 31 GHz Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) spectrum in both IP and TDM configuration, offering customers Ethernet and private line services.
