T-Online France deploys Visionael resource manager

Visionael, a provider of next-generation service automation and delivery management software, announced this week that T-Online France has selected its Network Resource Manager solution to automate delivery of its residential triple-play services.
T-Online France will use the software to establish a foundation for managing video, voice and data services. It was able to establish open interfaces from the Palo Alto-based Visionael to its customer relationship management and billing systems as well as to its activation systems to enable rapid service delivery.
Like most other service providers, T-Online France was suffering from the impact of bad or insufficient data about its network resources, which was affecting its ability to compete with the ISPs, alternative carriers and cable MSOs in the French market looking to deploy voice over IP, IPTV and data services. Visionael’s solution allowed T-Online’s customers to go directly to the Web site to subscribe for services, including IPTV. This ties into other backend systems that allow the service to be provisioned automatically.
T-Online is now completing orders with reduced manpower as less operational expense. Claude Glacet, CIO of T-Online France, said in a statement that Visionael made it possible for his company to customize the solution to better meet the needs of its customers and that its flexibility allows for services to evolve as our customer base grows.
Visionael's Network Resource Manager provides capabilities for collaborating network design and documentation, and it includes tools for capturing and maintaining a comprehensive database of the network infrastructure.
As the T-Online France IT department works to execute against IT driven business goals Visionael’s NRM provides the tools to do it faster, better, and more cost effectively.
