Indonesian mobile operator Tekomsel has expanded an existing vendor relationship with Tektronix for the vendor’s network management and diagnostics solutions, including protocol analyzers, to be used in the carrier’s new test labs.

Telkomsel, which operates a dual-band 900 Mhz/1800 Mhz GSM network, already uses Tektronix’ K12, K15 and Spectra solutions for GSM/GPRS testing, and now adds Tektronix' K1297-G35 and Spectra2 equipment. These solutions will address mobile network element simulation and load testing before live network deployment, according to a statement from the vendor.
