TeleBermuda International Ltd. (TBI) said this week it has deployed a complete IP multimedia subsystem-ready architecture from Sonus to support the service offerings of its next-generation network.
TBI’s offerings will include wholesale voice service, converged voice and data solutions and international long-distance service to the residential and business market. The network transition was completed in April and the operator has plans to expand service into additional markets including the Cayman Islands.
TBI is deploying a full suite of Sonus’ IMS-ready solutions, including Sonus’ GSX4000 Open Services Switch (a compact VoIP switch) and the ASX Feature Server. It will also use Sonus’ Network Border Switch for addressing session control, PSTN gateway services and security requirements from a single system.
In addition to its international long-distance voice service, the 10-year old TBI offers TBiNET, a dedicated Internet service; International Private Leased Circuits; International Frame Relay Service; a Server Co-location facility; business continuity and disaster recovery services.
