Converged mobile service solutions provider Tatara Systems announced this week at CTIA Wireless 2005 an IMS-compliant solution for its Mobile Service Convergence Platform. The IMS solution comprises the Tatara Subscriber Gateway, which sits between the access network and the IMS core, and the Tatara Service Manager SDK, which resides on end-user devices.

The IMS solution’s capabilities include packet data gateway functionality, an authentication server that enables integrated billing and services, SIP proxy that allows integrated CDR generation and QoS enforcement, presence and location management in the HLR/HSS, and cross-network management for handoffs between WLAN networks.

The solution also targets infrastructure vendors that are providing pre-IMS fixed mobile services over current networks.
