Akamai has signed agreements for Loral Cyberstar and Cidera to distribute its streamed and live-event content via satellite. Cidera has agreed to transport Akamai content to at least 1500 ISP locations globally, while Loral will send to 5000 ISPs and offer free Usenet news feeds to ISPs in the Akamai Accelerated Networks program.
