Vonage gets temporary stay
more on the topic
Vonage has secured a temporary stay against a federal judge’s order that prevents it from signing up new customers to its VoIP service, now that the service has been judged to violate three Verizon patents.
The stay allows Vonage to continue both signing up new customers and serving its current customer base until April 13, while it waits for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. to hear its case for a permanent injunction.
The temporary stay is the latest move in the legal battle between Vonage and Verizon that has cast doubts on the VoIP pioneer’s business since Verizon won its judgment against Verizon in March.
Vonage officials have vowed to keep fighting, both in court and for new business.popular articles
