Agilent Technologies has announced enhancements to its 802.16e orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access tester Mobile WiMAX applications.

The new OFDMA modulation analysis allows for improved testing of the intricate physical layer structure of Mobile WiMAX signals by analyzing frames, zones and individual data bursts in detail, Agilent said. The Agilent 89601A Opt B7Y IEEE-802.16e OFDMA modulation analysis software, including these new enhancements, is available now, and is targeted at engineers designing components and transceivers for 802.16e-compliant base stations and customer premises equipment (CPE).
