more on the topic
Canada’s Telus today said it has launched EV-DO service in five markets and plans to roll out 3G services to other cities by 2006.
The carrier now has live 3G service in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Montreal, following up on Bell Canada’s launch of the EV-DO services in Toronto and Montreal last month. Telus will kick the service off with two data cards from Sierra Wireless and Kyocera as well as two handsets, a Pocket PC device from UTStarcom and a Blackberry device from Research in Motion.
Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks supplied the infrastructure upgrades.
