Amdocs takes over billing at Vodafone Netherlands
more on the topic
Vodafone Netherlands said this week it is handing over wholesale and retail billings responsibilities to Amdocs. The companies signed a five-year managed services contract that includes the consolidation of billing, provisioning and partner settlement systems.
Amdocs will help Vodafone Netherlands execute its integrated customer management strategy.
Guy Laurence, CEO of Vodafone Netherlands said the company will be leveraging Amdocs’ experience in some of the largest and most complex business transformations projects in the industry.
The companies have had a relationship for approximately eight years on which this new contract builds. From this point forward, Amdocs will provide ongoing operations support, application development and maintenance, and helpdesk and trouble ticketing services under a single service level agreement. The company had deployed its Amdocs Billing, Amdocs Partner Manager and Amdocs Document Designer products and also will provide consulting and training services to support the rollout.
Earlier this week, Amdocs announced that it provided implementation services to T-Mobile UK to help launch its Flext flexible postpaid price plan back in March. Flext is a strategic initiative for T-Mobile UK that will allow the company to attract and retain customers. Flext is part of T-Mobile’s strategy to cut tariff confusion, do away with bill shock and introduce new standards of value and flexibility.
Amdocs also extended its contract with Cable One last week and earlier this month extended its contract with Jupiter Telecommunications, the largest cable provider in Japan, through 2009.
For those looking for an update on Amdocs’ recent acquisition of UH-based OSS provider, Cramer, the company will conduct its first combined Amdocs/Cramer user group meeting in November.
