more on the topic
Continuing its strategy to roll out broadband wireless access in more markets, BellSouth this week said it will launch service in select parts of Albany, Ga., and Paducah, Ky., by later this month.
Additionally, service will be expanded in the existing market of New Orleans area to include the area of New Orleans East. With these expansions, BellSouth will offer the service in 10 Southeastern markets, using the 2.3 GHz spectrum band.
BellSouth wireless broadband customers have the option to use the service at a discount as backup access to the Internet in the event of a wireline network outage. Customers can also choose to bundle a Wi-Fi service into their BellSouth Wireless Broadband service.
