Dilithium signs test pact with DoCoMo
more on the topic
Dilithium Networks has announced an agreement with Japan's NTT DoCoMo to collaborate on the development of 3G terminal test cases to advance video telephony interoperability test solutions.
The Petaluma, Calif., vendor will design a suite of interoperability test cases and incorporate them into its Dilithium Networks Analyzer (DNA). Using DNA, 3G terminal vendors and mobile operators will be better suited to test new handsets being developed, as well as test terminals software upgrades to ensure high interoperability performance, according to Dilithium CEO Paul Zuber. Also, 3G terminal and equipment vendors will be able to identify and resolve protocol and equipment-related issues, improve service and user experience, and reduce the time to market, he said.
"We've been working with them on interoperability issues for a while," Zuber said. "The interoperability matrix is getting pretty complex with handsets based on many different new technologies now becoming available."
