ASTEC LOW-POWER SWITCHES FEATURE TERMINAL BLOCK CONNECTOR OPTION
Emerson Network Power's Astec Power division has expanded its Astec LP25 and LP40 switching power supply families with a new terminal block connector option for both AC input and DC output. Available in single- and triple-output models, the new offering has a 3×5 footprint and will deliver from 25 W to 55 W of total power depending on the model and whether the units are convection or forced-air cooled. All models have universal input from 85 VAC to 264 VAC, adjustable outputs, remote sense, built-in EMI filtering and overload, over-voltage and thermal protection. The new LPS models can function up to 70° C by derating the output 2.5% per degree Celsius. All models have a demonstrated mean time between failures of more than 550,000 hours at full load in 25° C ambient conditions. They comply with international safety and performance standards.

COMARCO LAUNCHES HSDPA TEST SYSTEM
A new version of the Seven.Five Multi-technology Drive Test System is available from Comarco Wireless Test Solutions, which launched the product at CTIA last month. The system features high-speed download packet access capabilities and optimization, benchmarking and scanning modes. According to the company, the system can handle RF planning, competitive benchmarking, installation, pre-launch testing, shakedowns, maintenance and QOS monitoring.

ASTRON OFFERS NEW 700 MHz ANTENNAS
Astron Wireless Technologies has announced their new Omni directional and Yagi antennas for the 700 MHz band. Omnis are offered in Unity and 3 dBd gain models and directional antennas are available in a variety of gain applications from 7 dB to 12 dB. The new line comes equipped with an ever-sealed balanced feed system, ¾-inch boom materials, mounting hardware and a 1-foot pigtail. Also available is the ESP version that guarantees the antenna for 10 years.

BERKELEY'S NECTAR SCANS WIRELESS NETWORKS VIA PC
Berkeley Varitronics Systems has launched Nectar, a Windows software and calibrated hardware package for RF spectrum analysis. Nectar's software application has the ability to scan and monitor a variety of wireless networks from a laptop or PC. The product uses Berkeley's Bumblebee receiver module and Pollenator PC interface to continuously scan several WiMAX frequency bands. Users can select channel, preset and log settings to distinguish their network strength from other networks and sources of RF interference. The software features up to five distinct waveform traces (one live and four peak), screen averaging, adjacent channel measurements, video smoothing and packet/interference triggering.

EV-DO REV A SUPPORT REVS UP AEROFLEX PLATFORM
Aeroflex has added EV-DO Rev A support to its 6402 CDMA AIME network emulation platform. Available immediately, the EV-DO Rev A capability will provide test support for device development, signaling conformance and interoperability as well as applications development. Adding EV-DO Rev A technology to networks improves data rates and provides advanced QOS capabilities, which better facilitates video streaming and VoIP applications, according to the company.
